14 Products in 14 Days Daily Update #3

Day #3 update for 14 Products in 14 Days!

I realized that I over-committed to testing products - 14 days isn't enough time to test 14 different product ideas if I keep going at the pace that I am. I spent a solid 3 hours or so developing a landing page for just a single idea! I either need to work a lot faster, or set slightly more realistic objectives. I think the latter would be wise.

Today I narrowed down the top two product/service ideas for the week that will make it into the #Validation phase of the Product Discovery Sprint. I've listed them below! Each of these babies will get a landing page (whipped up via Bootstrap and some extra server space) and some dedicated cold-outreach time.

Product #1 - Virtual Assistant Subscription
A tiered service with small, medium, and large packages.
Why? This industry is growing rapidly, easily marketed/sold, and easy to hire for.

Product #2 - Graphic Design Subscription
Get unlimited graphic design (social media image, publicity material, website graphics, etc.) for a flat monthly fee.
Why? This industry is steady and resilient, easily marketed/sold, and easy to hire for.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Hoping to get Product #1's landing page up, and get to work with some cold sales.

Hey, @botvader! This is true! I'm trying to focus on productized services due to their ease of start-up, among other benefits of the model. I had not heard about the Jobs To Be Done Framework, and just now looked into it.

THANK YOU. This is a really incredible way of more fully understanding a target customer base's needs, and working to solve the problems that they are experiencing as opposed to trying to "invent" something and figure out if a client market has a problem that your invention can solve. I love this so much, and will absolutely be implementing and sharing it around.

For others, this Medium article is a helpful intro to the Framework: https://jobs-to-be-done.com/jobs-to-be-done-a-framework-for-customer-needs-c883cbf61c90

Best of luck on your ventures!
