Ideally, the user would gain something if they check off the tasks. Maybe it's a McDonald's $15 giftcard that they pre-purchase and set as a gift if they cross their finish line aka finish off their tasks?
To make the tasks "real" and "actual things" they don't usually like doing, I would imagine that once a user sets a task, they have 2 or 3 sliders to determine (a) the difficulty of the task (b) how many hours / days it'll take to complete and (c) how important it is towards their final goal / deliverable.
(2) would help them list actual, real-world tasks and (1) would encourage them to go through them all. Of course, idk how to monetize this, but fun nonetheless :)
EDIT: Ah, $150/month. Perfect. That can actually be set AS THEIR BUDGET, to buy giftcards or restaurant vouchers for themselves. And you keep a $20 fee from $150 for running your servers haha, this is pretty cool dude ngl please keep me posted - @sparrowtheapp on Twitter.
Hahahaha good one! Just build it anyways haha, since it is so easy to build. who knows, it might blow up!
ahah yeah, who knows 😃
what todo list do you use btw?
I think this has to be gamified a little bit, to encourage users to work towards completing more pressing / important tasks. Do you agree or disagree?
can you give an example of gamification that you would use in this case? Thanks for your feedback!
Hey, I'm 2 weeks behind on my response. So apologies, @matteomosca. I'm actually not too sure, but lucky for you, I had a gamification tab open on my Chrome - https://yukaichou.com/gamification-examples/octalysis-complete-gamification-framework/
My thoughts (not related to the link)
