Yesterday I sent out my first "new features" email to all 1,600 Mailoji customers. Overall it went really well, resulting in around +$200 ARR in sales, this is what my Stripe dashboard looked like:
I cobbled together a basic email sending script, so I don't know what the open rates or email deliverability scores were. However, as soon as I hit send, a flood of users visited Mailoji:

Unfortunately, there were some checkout problems I couldn't foresee, which made lose out on around $50 in sales, but I'm emailing the affected customers to see if they're still interested.
This was the first time I've done any real email marketing, and I'm surprised it worked so well. It's a no-brainer really. Sending an email with an offer to a group of people who you know are interested in your product results in a high chance of them making a purchase.
It's shown me that it's a lot easier to make sales from your existing customers than try to find new ones. This is something I've heard a lot, but now I actually believe it!
