200 places to get your startup featured for free 🔗

Hi All,

While marketing my personal finance startup, I compiled this spreadsheet of showcase websites where you can list your startup for free and get exposure & backlinks. Predominantly for SaaS but most could work for other startups too.

I added in a little CRM style tracker, so you can manage your progress posting on each one - it can get a little time consuming to keep count otherwise.

Simply click the link and it will allow you to create your own template of my spreadsheet.

Enjoy!

Super helpful list. Is there also a way to rank prioritize these site in order of meaningfulness to the startup at question?

    1. 2

Most of them are sector agnostic, I did have a ranking based on domain authority but didn't end up including it here

      1. 1

Yeah this would be super helpful so we could focus on highest ROI esp with SEO.

  2. 3

Thanks, I'll make sure to spam and get banned on all of them :D

    1. 3

If you don't get banned sometimes, you're not posting enough haha

  3. 2

200 places but only 10 that really deserve your attention I would say

      1. 1

I'd think the ones that are closer to the niche your business is trying to fill.

    1. 1

Maybe not even 10! We've spent hours making our profiles in such directories, and it never brought us any customers.

      1. 1

Thats what I'm saying, man, you're right

  4. 2

This is exactly what I was looking for!
Am I correct to assume that for some of them (e.g. VentureBeat) there is no way to submit your startup, but you have to contact the reporter?

    1. 1

That's right. A few need manually contacting which is annoying, but all have been tested so shouldn't have too much difficulty

      1. 1

Unfortunate, I thought maybe there is a hack. Thanks for the reply!

  5. 2

Was struggling to find a list of places where (like Medium) you could post an artcile about your product to receive the first feedback finally. Especially, if paid performance isn't the best scalable way for you -_-

  9. 2

3M+ monthly pageviews, completely free to list your AI product

    1. 1

Hey, how are you going to monetize it?

  15. 2

How much would you pay to get listed on all of these sites? Two bucks each, $400 total? This would be such an awesome gig for a hungry 20 year old

    • do something useful right away
    • it's not rocket science
    • it is shitty manual toil work that they would long to automate
    • witness other people's startup ideas
    1. 1

Completely agree! If there are any reading, now's your chance

    Wow Thanks!
I could just tell you how to build a SaaS in 200 different ways, as a Developer.
But struggling how to promote it.

How/What is your experiences with those places?

    1. 1

I've posted on most of these successfully, some multiple times. They're a good first place to start building your backlinks and some signups. Will have limited utility to those further along though

  24. 2

Thanks for sharing. Its really helpful.

  25. 2

    Thanks for sharing this, really

  26. 2

is there a service that can list in a majority of these places?

  27. 2

    Thanks, Wanted something like this

  28. 1

Hey, maybe you could also add websites aitoolslist.io and bestbusinesssoftware.io. Both of these are free places to promote your tools :)

  29. 1

    thank you!
ill give it a try as i am working currently on a startup idea and POC

  30. 1

Thank you for sharing! Super useful. How would you rank the list in terms of ease vs. effort of promotion?

  31. 1

Thank you man for sharing the SaaS directory where we can list our product.

  32. 1

Thank you for putting together this comprehensive list! Will go for a deep dive to discover the ones that are most suitable for promoting a new newsletter.

  33. 1

Thanks for the great list. This will definitely help the product like BoldDesk entered the crowded market help desk software domain.

  34. 1

In Sense - Your Artificial Memory we started with something like the same number of startup catalogues, but in fact, only a few of them brought good traffic.

  35. 1

This is a great resource for IH!

  36. 1

    Great list

    Not all will
Get you traction but it’s worth it

  37. 1

If anyone is looking to talk about their startups to grow small with quality, this call is made for you

  38. 1

Thank you so much for sharing this!

  39. 1

Thanks for sharing! However, since AI is so hot now, I'd be looking more at AI tool directories. Maybe you should create a list about that.

Excited to feature Evoke on all those websites

  40. 1

    A good list
But what the IH community needs are outstanding pages, how is the experience there? What should and shouldn't?
200 pages may or may not be appropriate and does not really build trust.
    Invest more in your writing.

Wow this exactly what I was looking for my start-up https://getstacksapp.com , thank you!
