This is home page design for a new service that I'm testing. Domain will change to datemule (dot) io.
Feedback about the idea, design, message/content will be highly appreciated.
I'm refraining from giving more information about the service here, because I'd like to know if you got it from the page itself.
Also if you have thoughts about the pricing model, I'd be happy to hear. I don't like it too much because I think it's complex. I had to do it though because my cost is tied to incoming data / stored data / queries.
Still looking for simpler alternative.
Note that registration does not yet work.

Cheers,
Looking right at the beginning seems confusing. What your product/service wasn't immediately obviously, and I had to read a bit more to understand. For a big part would say that the aesthetic doesn't match up with the product you're offering.
You have a data platform, but your main page is filled with a bunch of character cartoons. Seems incongruent. There's also just a lot of text that isn't organized in a way that's simple to read. Having lots of text is OK, but the page needs some more structure. I think looking at https://www.persistiq.com/v2 would be a good example.
Thank you for the feedback. I realized that I'll have to revamp the page and the way I present the product.
Already have thoughts.
I like the logo, there is some things with the typography that seemed hard to read. Monospace font's aren't the best for legibility especially with lots of letter spacing you have set up. I played around with making the letters pacing tighter and it looked more readable . I agree with another comment here, that I didn't quite understand what it was on first pass. You don't want a back click if someone doesn't get it right away.
I'm no design expert though more developer but do notice things.
I think there is a ton of potential though. Tell me more about your product how does it work in simplest form?
Thanks @anderskitson
As I got from previous comments, I realized that I'll have to add screenshots. I'll just create mocks because there's no product yet.
The product in a nutshell - there are many Analytics services, but they were all made for you. none of them was made so you can provide analytics to your customers, not to mention in a reasonable price tag.
So the idea - you send events, and then you can create dashboards that you embed in your product.
Thanks for the feedback!
Dan
Why didn't you say this at the top of your page? This is a perfect explanation! I could see it but it took a while to join the dots.
Also, no-one wants to build dashboards. They want to build dashboards quickly and easily. I have no idea if your solution is easy, difficult or impossible to build stuff in. And to what complexity level???
Well, it does say "easy and affordable" right in the main title.
But I get your point - message is not clear.
Thanks
Ok that makes sense, I think the embed mockup is key to show, and emphasizing you send a post request, but in a human readable way, so it can be pitched down the chain to the person who pays for it.
How are these dashboards generated, do you have a library or a tool to do so?
Well, you ask for your page to be roasted, so don't explain compliments:
Bottom line: when I enter your page, within 10 seconds I want to know what your products are, how they can help me, what prices apply to me, and how I can join.
I can go further and write about the lack of any means to contact, or a way for visitors to demo your product without signing up, but I won't!
Here you go. Hope it's helpful.
@acedit thanks for the detailed feedback, it is very helpful.
All the things that "don't work" like missing signup button or footer, etc - I just didn't finish them and wanted to get early feedback before getting too invested into this design.
I already realized from previous comments, and I agree, that I'll have no choice but adding some wireframes/screenshots. I originally tried to avoid it because there is no product yet. The purpose was to build this product page and see if there is any interest before actually building the product.
I also agree with your comment about the pricing. I will have to find a way to simplify it.
Thanks!
One suggestion that I have for you since you haven't built the product yet:
Build a simple page, use a couple of screenshots and several lines of text to explain the product, and add a waiting list feature (you can check ProductHunt to see how others have done it)
Remove the pricing and features and everything else. They are all irrelevant at this stage.
Even when you are done with the product, you may want to consider having only one pricing. Simply things as much as possible. Have a limited "free" product, and a paid one. If the amount is supposed to vary, do it according to only one parameter, and not more.
Okay, more than one suggestion, but here you go
Thanks.
Do you have any thoughts how to see if people will be actually willing to pay vs. just interested in the product / a free plan?
I personally see the best way is to provide people with a "free forever" plan and once you have enough users start to add premium features and create a paid plans.
It would be much easier to bring people from a free to a paid plan if they are already using your product and know that by paying a little bit they can get more features, than to get new clients to pay.
The style is amazing! I really like it.
But the product itself can be more clear.
There are a lot of products like this, what makes this product unique?
I can read some benefits, but what is the clear distinction between your product and other analytic dashboards?
Maybe with the style, you can tell a story?
Like a real strip would be?
Maybe a customer case, where they use your product, and the story tells all the benefits you will get?
Just throwing some suggestions.
Further notes:
Anyways, looks great! The style is really inspiring!
Ps. I just launched my first start-up of my 12/12 challenge.
Can you roast my page too? https://www.indiehackers.com/post/roast-my-landing-page-for-my-just-launched-app-ec0938dea9
Thank you @JustinFransen for the feedback.
There are indeed sooo many analytics products, but none of them is targeted to help you provide analytics to your SaaS customers. They are all targeted to you. A few of them allow you to provide analytics to your customers but not as the main purpose of the product.
Moreover, all of these products are very expensive for smaller products. I personally kept looking for such a service for each of my projects, and was never able to find something affordable. The cheaper ones are $150 and others start at $500.
I guess I have to emphasis these differentiators.
Thanks again. I'll check out your site too.
Cheers,
Dan
Hi,
honestly, I didn't get what it is about.
I think it would be better to provide more screenshots or illustrations (not just generic ones) explaining the matter than text (sorry I don't have time to read all it).
I wish I could help better.
Thanks for the feedback, it is valuable.
I can't put screenshots because there is no product yet ;-) but maybe I'll put wireframes.
Also may I ask how would you define your main skill? This product is targeted towards developers or technical product managers.
I wonder if for this audience the message is more clear.
Thanks to your valuable feedback, I completely remade the page. Here's the new link: https://datamule-site2.datamule-app.workers.dev/
I also realized that my target user is a developer, and so will the product - mostly APIs, very minimal UI.
I still struggle with pricing. Just posted about it.
Thanks for all of you who took the time to check the page and comment.
Your feedback helped me realize that the design language that I chose does not serve me at all, and that I have to present mock-ups and find the essence of the product.
I also think I realized that this is actually a product for developers, so I'll try to address them on the content
2muchtext4me - honestly - who's gonna read all that
