33 presales of my podcasting course! 🤯

Two weeks ago, I very quickly put up a landing page for a course I was thinking about building. Because of the success of my podcast Creative Elements, a lot of people ask me how I make such a high-quality show as an indie podcaster.

So I came up with the Podcast Like The Pros course where I would teach people my process for making high-quality, professional-sounding podcasts with a small team or a small budget.

My benchmark for success was 10 presale orders at a 50% presale price ($99 presale for $199 regular price).

I closed the presale yesterday with 33 presales of the course!

I kept this launch really, really simple. I had two dedicated emails to my audience (one announcement, one "final reminder) as well as put it in as a PS at the bottom of two other emails.

Then I shared the link on Twitter a couple of times, and a few of the course purchasers bought it.

This was a much more successful initial launch than my Freelancing School courses, and I think it was because I got really simple about the process.

Excited to build the course and deliver it by December! I am now testing a second presale pricing tier at $149 to see if that's still incentive for people to buy early before the course is complete.

    Congralutations! It's a good milestone! If I may ask - I'm curious:

    1. As a podcaster, what is your biggest struggle (like something that keeps you awake at night)?
    2. How much do you pay for so professionally made transcripts?

This is amazing!! Congrats Jay. Have you thought of turning it into an audio course with Avocado Audio yet?

Great numbers Jay!! Can I ask what your conversion % is like off your email list?? Keen to hear how the next tier goes.

It's about 1.5-2% of overall subscribers
