Getting Customers in a Saturated Market?

Hey Indiehackers.

My co-founder and I started developing a digital download platform in the same category as gumroad, sellfy etc.

I'm currently cold emailing and using Twitter to talk to creators. To understand their problems and their perspective so we can differentiate us from competition.

Obviously, the market is saturated and a lot of customers are already using other solutions.

Is there something I'm missing in terms of finding customers? Should I niche down and try to focus on a single segment?

Anyone who has been in a similar situation and found a way onwards?
