4 things I learnt in 4 months of being a (solo) founder

I am one week away from closing in on 4 months of being a founder- that is, of having started this journey from complete scratch and with no goddamn idea of what I'm getting into. So I wrote a little retrospective piece, both to lock it in as progress in my own journey and in case it helps anyone else just getting started: https://mean-bean.com/2020/10/26/4-things-i-learnt-in-4-months-of-being-a-founder/

Great writing. I appreciate your style. I am envious of your skill to tell a story. The page is cool, Its bit distracting though, I find it hard to find my way around. I still think it looks wicked cool.

Number 4 was funny. "You need balls"

I was wondered about the phrase:

    "You need balls."

Apparently the phrase has been attributed to some literature in the early 1900 and expanded since then. But, I always liked the idea of some caveman in the Tundra chasing some Mammoth and becoming smashed, his comrades inspecting his lifeless body find larger than average testicles and realizing they were maybe coincidentally large... thus the mythos is born.

I think your courage with or without balls is notable. I commend you, keep it up.

Thank you for the serious feedback, uplifting! That origin story right there- screw literature, all you need is a smashed up caveman and somehow his balls are the only resilient part that survived the violent attack- says a lot about humanity. I did laugh.

I like your writing, especially on your landing page. I do hate your website though, but nothing a post in in the landing page feedback section couldn't fix.

    Do you rewrite?
