Income List Newsletter

Hi Fellow Creators;

I am in a process of building my first newsletter and wanted to hear your feedback.

https://incomelist.co

It's a curated newsletter where I will share bite-size income reports from Webpreneurs (mainly bloggers, YouTubers, and Makers), with valuable tips, lessons and useful resources, so you grow your income fast.

The first edition will go live next week. However, at this point, I need your feedback to improve it.

And please don't forget to subscribe to it.

The first thing that came to mind was, please give me a taste of what to expect, like a preview or something.

We're in an era where everyone is doing a newsletter and inboxes are always stuffed. So without knowing the value that you provide, it's hard to get people to subscribe.

    1. 2

+1 on this, I rarely subscribe to a newsletter if I can't see what am I going to be given.

    2. 1

Yeah, same 👆🏻. You can say what you want about Substack, but we all have gotten used to "let me read it first".
And be honest, do not use stock images for your testimonials... especially when before launch, create that credibility when appropriate.

Thank you for your comment. I am working on it and will add a preview/archive page to it very soon.

So your newsletter was featured in huff post? Didn't you get enough feedback from there?

    1. 1

Hi @sagunsh, thank you for your comment. I just changed the text to "Trusted By Readers from".

Do you have any further suggestions?

      1. 2

That would be my feedback, "be genuine" so it will be easy for people to trust you. Also instead of putting big names like huffpost, rather put trusted by readers from indiehackers, producthunt, etc.

        1. 1

Thank you again. Adding Huffpost and other sites was just for the sake of giving the landing page a look. I will surely replace those with the ones that look genuine. Thank you again.

Good, advice! Would also go with that. I like the landing page - also maybe too early but I also would put a sponsor/ad link in the future to the site so brands can contact you for possible partnerships.

Shameless plug: you can create a Sponsy page and link to it 🙃 with Sponsy you can manage your newsletter sponsorships and get paid in an easy way

    The landing page looks great.

How are you promoting the launch currently?

    1. 1

So, far I haven't promoted it except asking for feedback and getting a few subs. One of the ways is to get it listed on newsletter directories, and maybe run ads.
