5 More Ideas For Your Next Side Hustle

I carry around a little orange notebook everywhere I go, writing down all types of ideas that pop into my head. Here are 5 ideas I like, but don't have the time to invest in. Maybe you'll make one of them. Enjoy!

#1 - SAAS app for tracking KPIs specific to Recruiters.
#2 - Uber for Laundry
#3 - Carfax for houses
#4 - Website/YouTube channel focused on teaching how to give men maintenance hair cuts.
#5 - Christmas lights for cars

Bonus Idea:
Scholarship management software. Kind of like Personal Capital but for helping students manage scholarships and ensure they are meeting the proper requirements to maintain them.

Enjoy!

The uber for laundry idea strikes me as pretty interesting and fairly straightforward. You could coordinate local laundromats that already exist with a (reasonably small) network of drivers, and have a business that is

    1. A tech platform (high margin)
    2. Logistically simple compared to other similar platforms (grubhub, uber, doordash)
    3. Provides value to consumers (remembering to go to the laundromat and then pick it up is a pain)

Another possible route would be to have lockers like amazon does at some places that unlock via code, and let people drop off / pick up their laundry at places they already go, like Walmart or the grocery store. This, of course, would need more capital for infrastructure, but could be a good route for business development in the future to decrease cost/complexity.

So in other words, I think someone should definitely make this 😜

I'm somewhat surprised that this doesn't already exist in the US. We have several startups in Europe tackling the exact same problem (e.g. Jonny Fresh) with moderate success, when I recall correctly.

Mentioning this because it could get difficult to partner up with local laundromats that already operate a fleet as they already have a deal (for certain countries in Europe at least). But there could be work-arounds for this road block.
