5 pieces of advice from Netflix co-founder [summary]

A good article I read today — 5 pieces of advice from Marc Randolph — Netflix co-founder:

  1. Start small and now. Get your idea out quickly, easily, cheaply, and collide it with reality
  2. It’s not about having good ideas. It’s about the system, the process, and culture for testing lots of bad ones
  3. Culture is not what you say. Culture is what you do. How you carry yourself, treat your co-founder, employees, and customers.
  4. Think long-term by focusing on what not do to today. If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one
  5. Find balance, or you will crash. You're not a whole person if you were working all the time
