5 tips to post successfully on Hacker News

Want to post successfully on Hacker News?

Follow these simple tips. These are the tips that i followed and got my post to first Page of Hacker News multiple times.

Tip#1: Title should always be as unique as possible.
Tip#2: Best time to post is on weekends.
Tip#3: Its good to get few upvotes immediately after posting.
Tip#4: Keep engaging with the audience.
Tip#5: Keep posting every week till you make it to the top and keep experimenting with the title.

    Indie Hackers dot com still has orders of magnitude less traffic than other popular indie hangouts like HN, PH, Reddit. Still super doable to get to the front page here regularly with good content whereas a lot of those other sites require luck or "hacks".

    This post of mine got to the front page today https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23915014

    I actually posted it yesterday but saw it didn't take off within a few minutes. Sneaky tip, if you see that happen then just delete the post and repost it another day, the time wasn't quite right.

      Usually Weekdays get max impressions.
