So what does it mean to love yourself? To me, loving yourself is not about spoiling yourself. It's about maximizing the potential inside of you.
@RealDealSteele--my coworker and an eloquent speaker--shared an inspirational message today regarding how he started his daily 2-hour workout routine and dieting and what this means to him.
It's really a testament to the analogy that for true growth, and success, you will not be comfortable. Change requires the cutting away of what you want to change, anything in life, which will be uncomfortable. Change requires dedication of time and energy to what you want to become your routine, which will be uncomfortable.
And when you settle into a routine that is comfortable, its then time to shake it up, crank it up and continue striving harder.
Self-love sounds "abusive" here, lol--keep pushing your boundary until you unleash your inner beast mode!
There are instant gratifications people sought after. That's NOT self-love. But true happiness is found through struggles. Struggling because to better ourselves, we need to step outside of our comfort zone. The satisfaction of accomplishing something difficult and meaningful is the best gift you can give yourself.
