4 content strategy rules I've learned the hard way

  1. Don't expect one type of content to accomplish different goals.

  2. Use different platforms for different goals.

  3. Always drive everything back to a platform you own.

  4. Creator burnout is a symptom of poor strategy.

    #2 is a good one.

Thanks! This is something I learned the hardway.

I can agree with all of those points except the last one.

I guess it really depends on how you're using the word "strategy" in context. For the rest of the points, it seems you're talking about content strategy. But burnout is a matter of sustainability in your work + personal health.

It took me a long time to figure out my personal productivity ebbs and flows before being able to understand what brings me to the point of burnout.

I see content strategy as something you can (and likely should) shape around your individual capacity. The best strategy is the one you can keep up with, even if it's 1/4 (or 1/10) of what your competitors are pushing.

Yea, that's a great ideal. I think it's very easy as an entrepreneur to constantly want to push your limits.
