A community vision is better than a community idea

  1. 3

"One cannot simply test and idea on a community and expect it to work. You need to do the ground work of building relationships and trust. An idea without strong relationships and trust will likely have minimal impact when compared to one with great bonds."

Take time to do the work and build the relationships! Ideas are a dime a dozen, true relationships are priceless. Thanks for sharing, @rosiesherry

Thank you Rosie! I totally agree with this approach. We don't really need to know exactly where we're going, as long as we're following small steps and making good calls, we will start to create something amazing.

I also believe for a community that is essentially a group of people who are ever-changing, you cannot be really be "set" on something. It should be evolving with the people. So for new community builders like me, we shouldn't care too much initially other than providing a safe and helpful space to a group of people with the same goal.

This is how I'll be creating a new #BuildingInPublic community!
