It was 24 interesting hours to say the least. Yesterday evening my project, multy.me, was on the frontpage on Hacker News, and it stayed here during 24 hours!
During this period, the thread collected 54 comments (half of them being my answers ^^), but more importantly, more than 4200 unique visitors, a record for me.
It's interesting to see when the topic moved to the second page around 4pm. The number of hits was divided by 2 while it was rather stable since midnight.
At the same time, I launched Multy on Product Hunt, it's at the bottom right now, with 5-6 upvotes!
It's interesting to me because in my opinion, Hacker News is more about the product, and Product Hunt more about the creator.
i have a hunch that launching an app on product hunt as a complete stranger is a huge challenge!

Congrats, @Etheon! :-)
Congrats! Winning the HN lottery is hard: sometimes just two upvotes can push a submission to the front page (or to "front" Show HN), but I just failed to get there with eight – despite Saturday being an "easy day".
