Nice, I’ll sign up now.
I’ve been looking forward to getting stuck into Hotwire for quite a while. I love Stimulus, but have been a bit worried about getting into Turbo with our Shopify app due to concerns about JWT tokens. I saw a commit in the latest update that addressees this though.
Quick question, does Turbo require Redis? Probably a silly question, but I couldn’t find a straight answer when I last looked.
Thanks! Neither Turbo nor Turbo Native require Redis, but Turbo Frames require web sockets and some sort of persistent store on the server. Redis is recommended but I don’t think required (I think you can use your existing Postgres DB or whatever if you want).
Signed up already and very excited about this. I’m one of those few people that actually loves the old Rails UJS and is pretty excited about Hotwire.
Thank you! I’m with you there - have you seen request.js from Rails 7? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj-f7TfHQT4
Hi Joe, I think I've seen you in weekend club. signed up!
Thanks! Enjoy 😀
