After 4 years & $1M in revenue, I'm FINALLY quitting my full-time job.

Whew, I thought this day would never come. I started Designjoy all the way back in the summer of 2017, and in retrospect I could have quit that very year; in fact, most of you likely would have. But the insecurity I felt in going off on my own kept me tied to the security I found in my job. So I stayed, and the consequence was 1,500 days of intense, and I mean intense, grind.

But last week, I decided it was time. Time to trust in what I've spent the last 4 years building. So submitted my resignation, and I will be focusing 100% of time on Designjoy. I'm really proud of what I've been able to build while my focus as been so split, so I'm stoked to see what I'm capable of doing now.

Despite its success, Designjoy is far from a perfect service. I'll be using this extra time to focus on areas that need improvement. There's a lot that I want to do, and a lot that needs to be done, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to dedicate myself fully to it. Who knows - I might even hire some help. ๐Ÿ˜…

I truly appreciate the support this community has shown over the years. Designjoy would be nothing without ya'll, so thank you. โœŒ๏ธ

Luckily my โ€œfull-timeโ€ job was a bit of a joke in terms of the volume of work. That is until recently, which contributed to me leaving!

Congrats man! I want to check your website and it looks very sharp. I think that your experience shows that you can be an entrepreneur while working a full-time job. You made a transition instead of a complete 180ยฐ. Even though it might be more of a grind maintaining both at the same time, it gives more security and reduces stress, pressure and anxiety. Best of luck!

I'm curious...how do most of your customers find you?

Most clients actually find me right here despite the fact that I donโ€™t post a whole lot!

Being quicker to respond to comments and questions regarding tasks, providing ETAs, better onboarding experience, more thorough documentation, better project management, just to make a few. ๐Ÿ˜Š
