Aftermath from launching on Product Hunt

On Tuesday I launched Indie Worldwide on Product Hunt. Here's how that went!

Finished #5 w/ 350+ upvotes
~1k site visits on the day of
200+ new signups + 1 Founders' Club sale
Got 115 RSVP's for the event the day after, boosted in large part by the launch

Screenshots to back up the launch stats:

I only spent a single day preparing for the launch by designing some nice looking images and then following these steps:

I also posted in the Indie Worldwide slack, a few Facebook groups, and sent people individual messages.

There are about 2,000 people in my email list and a similar number in the Slack and I spend a lot of time getting to know people there.

Nearly every single person who commented on our post the day of the launch was someone I'd talked to one on one at some point or met at one of our events.

So it was an "overnight success" years in the making.

Compiling a thread here of some of the most thoughtful comments people left on our launch:

Thank you everyone who supported us on Tuesday! Looking forward to meeting ya'll at our next meetup.

See you there 🌎🌍🌏
