Any advice on asking for discount when signing contract?

We have to sign a contract with another company in order to run our business. The monthly charge while talking through the phone is $20,000. That's way too high, especially for us who isn't getting too much traffic. Do you guys have any advice on how to negotiate in this case? Thanks!

just create options, go out and find others. even if they are not cheaper, you can create authentic "pressure"

What do you want to pay per month?

    Start by just asking.
"The only thing you need to do is do it, then you realize how dumb you are so you can make it better next time. I am doing this dumb stuff now."
    :)

might help if we know what the service is..
best way to negotiate is have more offers..

      Nice quote :)

But what if there is no alternative to choose from? It's kinda not up to you.

No alternative doesn't provide you any leverage.

Unless government mandates there is usually an alternative.. even deciding just not to have it/do it manually is an alternative. Paying for custom development for your own private solution could also be considered an alternative..

Have you had luck with UBot? What do you use it for?
