Any SEO advice for my site that people can use to find clothes that match colors?

Very low chance you'd be able to get SEO to this kind of site from Google, possibly you can get a bit from others

You need to think is specific pages and terms as
    Purple purses
which should be in the title and not the site name
The page should also have unique text content on the page if you want any chance even if its a tiny bit bs like
Purple the colour of X deep inside y the chosen colour for 2006 competition and loved by actors X and y and the Carter builder for designer z
Goes well with colours X and y and looks great on ppl that z
    ...

    Unique text is essential
    Titles are important

Might actually reduce page combos as the start of at least listed ones and technically grow them over time even if it's super silly

You have a huge way to do with ux/UI and design

Also reasons for people to spend time on the site and page

And create real traffic going in in other ways

Hey👋 John, Your idea seems really interesting to me! Would really like to know how you gathered so much of data or you're using any API!

Regarding SEO I believe - You need to work little bit on UI/UX so that users actually know how and what this app is about! Once that done, you can start working on fashion related content so, you can create internal website authority to the home page.

And if you can target few broad terms through your homepage that would be cherry on the top.

Start outreach ASAP! Start scraping emails of fashion niche influencers, blog owners and shoulder niche owners and try to let them know about your app that you can can count on links! That would overall improve your SEO!

Hope this would help! My twitter DM will be always there in case you need any help with planning and execution!

    Cheers! 🥂

For the app Itself I think the color picker should show a large square of the color you are picking so I can see a larger sample of it, right now all I see in terms of a big sample is the way it recolors the button under it. I think you need a much bigger database of clothes so that the matches are tighter, I think you should have some way to enter a sample color in because someone may take a picture of a scarf and try to find a blouse to match it. I think you should also take your clothes matches and scan them not overall but in little squares, because some of the results are prints - you need to deal with clothes matches that are only partial like the dream scenario - I have blue pants, I take a picture, I upload an adjust the color, I find matching shirts, the one I find is striped blue and red somehow the app found just the blue in the shirt or the blue polka dots on a white background. It's a better use case if I can match something I have with something for sale than a color I pick with something for sale.

Your photos are all png files with either no background or white background, consider adding the chosen color as the background color to make it crystal clear how well the match is working.

sort the results by color better - from closest match to least close. With more products you will get better matches - ultimately it would be cool to scrape these items and get paid affiliate fees for each sale. It looks like all your samples are from amazon so you are probably already doing that - consider upping your game to higher-end clothes even if some of it doesn't offer an affiliate fee.

From an SEO standpoint, you need to be a subject matter expert on matching clothing choices by the color - your blog should be bursting with articles about how to pair different colors and which colors go best with different skin tones, ties to match jackets, which shoes go with which colors, etc., etc. Pair up with fashion bloggers, get your app linked to fashion blogs. All inbound links should be from the fashion world because buying clothes that match very well is the action of a clothing fan - that's your audience, they can be found on those blogs.

You need to get into the clothing world in terms of keywords because this isn't a color matching app, it's a how do I dress better app.

At its core, this app can match any color to any collection of items of different colors so it has some recyclability but your best niche is going to be clothes, everyone on earth is a buyer, your bullseye is the one that cares deeply about the match. I would target this towards women and break it out by age group for the clothing samples.

go deeper into the niche, generate colors that are contrasting to the one sampled and let people search on those as well - not everyone needs a red shirt to match red pants, but if it's a dusty burgundy and they want green pants they don't want neon green they want a rich forest green - get into color theory, color wheels, complementary colors and just own the hell out of this space - you have just started but this could be a world-beater given the size of the market and the money involved. Partner with a clothing and fashion expert and let them tell you exactly where to drive this because right now you only have an MVP good enough to show that person - quicker to find the fashion expert than become one.
