Any startups from space industry?

Babilonczyk

Hi are there any companies from space industry here? I’m building a product for this target group and I’ve got some questions ^^

I have a an early space startup.

Hi, as a space startup, how important is your brand awareness among people? Let's take SpaceX as an example, almost everyone have heard about them, and can say at least one thing about what they do.

As a space enthusiast myself I'm interested, too.

I used to work for Techstars and we have a SpaceTech Accelerator program with the government where we gathered a lot of relevant startups, mentors and resources. Check out here: https://www.techstars.com/accelerators/starburst-space

Hey, I'm currently working at a space startup. What's your question?

    1. 2

Not the original person but still have a question.

What other viable business are there in the space sector besides satellite + infrastructure around satellite and launch providers?

Most others I can think off are too far away (infrastructure does not exist yet), have faulted by now or just seem to be a endless pit of cost but very little revenue.

What we do is using existing satellite data in an industry which is not even aware they could use satellites. And it solves loads of problems for them on the ground. A really fun playground right now, lots of different use cases for different industries.

Astro mining, space colonies etc. is a different story. Not feasible, too expensive, often just clickbait.

Hi, just like above. As a space startup, how important is your brand awareness among people? Let's take SpaceX as an example, almost everyone have heard about them, and can say at least one thing abut what they do.

Hey! Most space startups are b2b and hence public brand awareness is not really necessary. It's different for relevant industry leaders and decision makers. Obviously, they need to be aware of us.
We do have some touchpoints with end customers, but it's tricky since end customers don't make the decision to adopt our system. And a few retweets won't change that. Hope I could help!

Thanks! 😄 I knew I forgot something major and you actually fixed that. Can I ask you ( if it’s not the problem ) where most of your end users come from?
