Are you learning Spanish, French or English? I've got something for you.

Hey mates,

I've been quite busy this past year developing Linguaso, a mobile web app that helps you get easily immersed into a language. It does it by offering a catalogue of thousands of videos (music, news, stories, streamers, culture...) with subtitles from YouTube and mixing them with a real time dictionary that allows you to check any word that you don't understand from the video. Immediate understanding and learning of what's being said.

The idea is to bring the video consumption habit to the language learning market. The videos are all real videos by native speakers from YouTube; my aim is to make language learners get closer to the native speakers' culture by consuming the exact same content they consume.

To make the exposition to the videos easier, apart from the subtitles and the real time dictionary, the user can play some challenges, customize their featured words and well, earn points.

I hope you like it. This is not my first side-project, but one of my more ambitious ones, for sure. It's also in continuous improvement, I've got still quite some work to do in the dictionary, for example - fixing translations and examples of use, but also adding dozens of expressions, idioms, grammatical structures, etc.

My ultimate goal is to create a great user experience so I'll be glad to receive any feedback and to answer any questions you may have about the project.

Cheers from Spain.

I learn Spanish. I started learning with the Duolingo app to get used to these new sounds and learn the basic vocabulary. After that, I bought a frequency Spanish dictionary because Duolingo wasn't enough for me. So Spanish learners take my recommendation into account; it's an excellent start if you want to speak like a native. https://www.amazon.com/Spanish-Frequency-Dictionary-Essential-Vocabulary/dp/9492637200
Now, I would like to try your app to improve my knowledge about Spanish culture and hear their native accent.

      Hey Alexandran, great to know!
Yes, Duolingo is amazing when you start with a new language.
I've used it myself for French.

If you continue learning Spanish and you feel that the Duolingo exercises are not enough and that you need to consume Spanish content, just give Linguaso a try, it'll totally help you with the immersion ;)

      Cheers!
