Are you procrastinating a lot? I was, here is my story

Yes, I had a problem with procrastination :) I think that almost everybody has it but I will tell you a little secret how to deal with it.

Here is my story:
I had a lot of time and I was able to do both working and procrastinating as well because I was spending behind computer many hours per day. It is not a big deal if you have a lot of free time because nobody is able to work more than 8 hours per day in the long run. We need to rest and procrastinate.

My baby boy was born a half year ago and my time behind the computer was reduced to just a few hours. And all of a sudden I was not able to finish anything during the day.

You know, I started to do something but when I run "npm install" I automatically opened a new tab with youtube, news, or anything else which was not related to my work and my tasks. Npm finished and I spent another half an hour with unrelated things on the internet :)

Then one of my good friends told me about SelfControl.
It is a free application that will disable all sites that you are using for procrastination.

You need just set a period of time to block for, add sites to your blocklist, and click "Start."

For example, I added youtube.com, facebook.com, twitter.com, and also indiehackers.com on my blocklist :) I always work 2 hours and after that, I can do a break and check what is new on the internet.

And that's it. When I open a new tab and try to open a website where I am procrastinating I will see in all browsers standard message "This site can’t be reached" and it is good.
