Are you ready to record a video to promote your project?

I quite often read on the forum about the struggles indie hackers have with acquiring new users. It is one of the most important parts of the journey and it worth trying different ways to promote the service.

Right now we are building a lead generation tool that works by igniting a personal connection with visitors through video messages. it is helpful when you're getting some traffic and want to convert visitors into sign-ups more efficiently.

For each video you upload we generate a widget that you can embed on any webpage. In the video, you can introduce yourself and tell visitors a bit about your service. Great first impressions matter as it helps you to build trust with potential customers.

Right now we mostly have users who sell their services with our widget (freelancers, design agencies, web studios), but I think indie hackers and writers could benefit from this technology too.

You can check how the widget works on our website https://videotouch.io

Using the service is completely free, and I'm sure it's worth trying! Each business is unique and you never know what will work in your field.

This space is heating up! Video welcome/engagement on a site always feels like such a great idea to me. Longtime Indie Hackers member @matteomosca launched HeyHi which is very similar. I really like (and use) the TypeForm team's VideoAsk product. I recently saw Embed.so on ProductHunt as well. I like that you have a generous free tier for other indie makers to get started. Congrats on the reviews you've gathered so far. Best of luck!

If that pretty woman can make a video for my biz, then I'm in :)

@moneyroad that pretty woman is not included in the offer, but we can write a custom script for your video for free :)

I will think about it... :)

Really cool, we wanted to build our own after VideoAsk was being a little annoying. Though I have to say conversions were through the rough vs a normal form.

Always curious to understand how founders plan on standing apart from the crowd with products like this (as we will be facing a situation like this soon)

Either or, I've actually signed up and will be giving this a try on our website smartwriter.ai :)

    All the best!

Hey @AndreyNovikov, great idea!! I literally just saw a product on Producthunt that looks very familiar to this! https://www.producthunt.com/posts/embed-so

Why would a user choose your service over VidoeAsk, Embed so, Heyhi?

Keen to hear the unique proposition:)

      Thank you for asking!

We are primarily focused on collecting information from users’ clients (for example, their phone numbers or emails) inside the widget, also you can set the CTA button the way you’d want to, including redirect URL.

In addition, we provide our users with a free plan with full functionality of the service (up to 5,000 visitors per month). Our users have information about the number of views, widget loads, and clicks on the CTA button - this can help them to test different marketing strategies and choose the video and CTA that works best.
