Agree, but I'm biased... The caveat is that asynchronous communication is only more effective if people can write clearly. If there isn't enough context to understand the message, then asking follow-up questions just takes extra time.

This is true! You need context for sure. Async teaches you to be a better communicator.
I can see the benefits of asynchronous communication, but I think there's also still a place for synchronous communication (maybe it's my impatient side speaking up eheh) Maybe a mixed approach could be the best of both worlds?
Totally agree. A combination is good. Most orgs would benefit from adopting at least some async practices or hybrid work practices. Adopting asynchronous process is part of the future of work.
