Authentication and Authorization options for building a SaaS

Hi everyone,

I have build about 3 micro SaaS applications so far and have not yet found a seamless & cost-effective authentication and authorization with functionalities like Email login, Google login, Groups, Roles and Permissions etc.
I have used Keycloak and Auth0 so far and still end up either paying a hefty amount or managing lots of things at my end.
Then there is the need to integrate with email APIs for the signup/forgot pass flow.
Things become more complex if you want to enable MFA.

What are some recommendations? How are you guys solving this today?

Thank you

I'm the founder of Warrant (https://warrant.dev/) and we're specifically working to improve the authorization and access control pieces you mentioned, including easy setup for groups and role-based access control.

If you have some time, I'd love to chat and get your perspective on what we're building!

What didn't you like about Auth0? I've used it on some projects with pretty complex Roles/Permissions scenarios pretty effectively. Only thing I don't like about it is the documentation isn't that great, lots of outdated articles, or undated articles, so it gets hard to know if you are following the latest best practices which with security is constantly changing.

It was expensive and had a learning curve with poor docs.
