Automated UI & User Testing?

Testing has historically been a pain for me – I run unit tests, but this doesn't factor in for user errors that happen in the browser.

I've looked at Selenium and a few other tools but they're a pain to set up.

So I'm thinking of building a web app that automates UI & user testing: https://usegravity.app/firelab

Think it would be useful? Also:

  1. Do you currently run any kind of tests?
  2. Do you automate browser testing?
  3. Do you think a tool that does this for you would be useful?
  4. Would you pay for it?

This looks really interesting. Our startup currently does not have a budget for such routine testing but I think it is something we might need to consider in the future. It would be great if I can get to test this to see how it works.

What budget would work for you?

It is hard to quantify for me to be honest as I am from the perspective of a designer. If you ask me, I think within $50 a month is something I would consider to give it a try.
