Best Gumroad Day Ever

Gumroad Day accounted for 23% of all my Gumroad sales ever.

Been selling google sheets on gumroad since April of 2020.

Amazing, what did you do to achieve that?

    1. 3
      1. Emailed everyone who bought from me before.
      2. Tweeted a lot (73 tweets)
      3. Created a sale with one off coupon codes for Better Letters: 99% to 1% off. sold just over half of them.
      4. Kept up with what was going on on #gumroadDay all day. Was really interesting. Bought a few things myself. Shared others tweets with sales.

Do so many promotional tweets lead to substantial unfollows?

        1. 1

          Probably. 🤷‍♂️

    🤯 Congrats Andrew!

Did you do any extra promotion leading up to Gumroad day?

    1. 1

Nothing leading up to the day. In fact I wasn't going to do anything and then I saw a tweet about it. My email to a lot of my customers prompted them to put something up on sale that day too, and they had a few early sales.

    Wow, congrats! That's amazing!

    Insane 🔥

Awesome to see it played out well!

You selling for $1? 4000 sales would have made me a millionaire.

Nice work! Were those sales predominantly new customers? Or those that had purchased other products from you in the past?

    1. 1

Most sales came early on from folks who got a free product, 100 biz ideas, and then wanted to buy something at some point, and the deal was too good to pass up.

        1. 2

a few offers. 50% off some, some $1.50 (still available) for gumroad creators. I offered 1 off 99 coupons from 99% off to 1% "gumroadday99", "gumroadday98", etc.

          1. 1

So you had 99 coupons going from 99% off to 1% off?
