Best place to find freelance work on the side

Good morning Indie Hackers,

I'm currently working hard on building my app business Savings 3 but I need a little extra income on the side.

I think the best way is to pickup small programming gigs on freelance work websites such as Upwork and Freelancer.com.

I haven't used any of these services. Do you guys have experience with them, and which one is best?

Thanks.

I've been working freelancer.com since 2015 and it's a solid platform. Upwork is also great.
These are crowded marketplaces, so you need a lot of patience until you get your 1st project.

Both are good . My best advice is create some youtube tutorials to show your work and proof that you can do what you say you can do . Then add your youtube channel link to all proposals and bids for projects on both platforms and you will have way better chances of getting projects and clients.

      Thanks that's a great idea
