My hypothesis is there is no good solution for Password Vault users (Master Key) and Crypto currency users (Private Key) to securely store the Keys and establish a disbursement plan so the beneficiaries can access these upon the death or incapacity.
Would like to validate my hypothesis:
There are many stories in the media about how the owners of the cryptocurrency forgot (!!!!) the passwords to their wallets. And now, some bitcoins may be lost forever!
By taking you keys with you "on the other side", you donate your crypto wealth to the whole world. It's not the same as burning fiat money that is inflationary – you permanently remove coins from the total supply of the finite asset. Quite a good approach to be honest.
Good problem to solve! I had a similar idea. A simple to use hardware device that's not connected to anything and could ensure a longevity (death could be a far away in most cases)
First stupid question, what is wrong with password managers?
First off, don't call others stupid if you, yourself don't understand the problem.
