Books or courses about UX/UI best practises?

I'm working on my project https://folge.me which is a desktop app, and I started to realize that I need more knowledge about building UIs.

Do you know of any book or course that would give some practical examples about how to properly build app UIs, some insights into common mistakes, and best practices?
