Built an area/locality discovery website

Hi,

I just finished MVP of my first side project. It is called area-ok(www.areaok.in).

What is it about?
It is an area listing website. It lists the areas/localities of a particular city. I started it really small. Right now, it just covers few areas of one Indian city, Noida.

What problem does it solve ?
Few weeks back, I was planning to move to this city. After few days of research, I realised that it was a lot easier to find a house in a particular area of the city using existing websites than to find the area that I should be moving to, the area that suits me/my family the best.

To make my point of how hard it is and how much effort it takes, below are some of the things that I was looking for in an area:

  1. It's distance from my workplace.
  2. Safety for my family.
  3. Connectivity for easier commute.
  4. Food delivery restaurants availability.
  5. Maids availability.

Well after days of my research, I realised this kind of research is definitely done by majority of us, when we are moving to a new city, especially when we are moving in with a family. That's when I decide to build this website. It helps you to find the area that suits you best.

What does it lack right now ?

  1. Area details can be erroneous right now. Because i did this research myself on my laptop instead of visiting each area.
  2. It is build for general public and therefore there is high chance that it may not contain that specific information that you need.
  3. There are lot of yes/no(has park, has market) in the product right now. More data will help in better detailing of the information.

Well, if you decide to visit the website, let me know your thoughts.
