Can I create a newsletter without being an expert?

I'm wondering if I can create a newsletter about something that I'm still learning and kind of documenting that learning journey while also informing people interested in that subject?

In other words, do I need to prove "authority" to be able to gain subscribers?

when it comes to being an expert I Always see it as being on a scale- Yes there will be someone more of an expert than you. However, there's always someone to whom you look like an expert. You only need to be 10% better to look like an expert.

Though in your case I'd say you can build the newsletter anyway regardless of authority as all you'll be doing is sharing your insights. You don't need to be an expert to do that :)

I started Influence Weekly as a learner. I showed authority by saying... i work in this industry, i read 100 articles a week and only share the most useful, insightful, data informed articles each week.

And then did. Building up authority from trust.

Yes, you can. I am building my new newsletter as well. We can help each other, I can subscribe to yours and vice versa. What do you think?
