Can I customize a paid Ghost theme?

Hello friends. Does anyone know if it is possible to customize a paid Ghost theme beyond minor updates or configuration? I found a theme I really like but there is one somewhat major piece of the home page I really do not like (of course). I’ve read some conflicting information so figure I’d better ask the experts here.

    Yes, Ghost uses Handlebars, so you need to learn a bit about the whole structure of the themes: https://ghost.org/docs/api/v3/handlebars-themes/

    Hey Jeff! All themes are just HTML files plus a splattering of Handlebars template tags. So if you know HTML/CSS you can edit them.

    I do a lot of theme customisation via my Ghost service Gloat. I'm available if you need any outside help.
