💡 Codecademy for finance - interactive bite sized financial modeling courses

Hi hackers!

Last week I started a "12 side projects in 12 months" project. looking for partners on IndieHacker

I wanted to crowdsource ideas from the community, but didn't get much feedback. So decided to select first idea myself as I wanted to finish first project in september.

I have a finance background and remember struggling to find good learning resources. Also getting into finance as a graduate is very difficult.

Also I have experience learning software development and finding first job in development. And the experience is very different. So I want to bring some of these advantages from the software development and tech world to finance.

What do you think?

Hey David, I too am embarking on the 12 in 12 challenge. Well, it's 10 in 12 for me. Here's my site- https://seann.co Let me know if you'd like to partner up!

+1! I've been trying to learn about DCF valuations and how to build models, and it's a freaking nightmare. Basically the only source of decent financial modeling content I could find online was Aswath Damodaran's online course, and while the course is excellent, I'm left with more questions than I started with.

Have you done the due-diligence yet to see who are the top-players in the Finance/EdTech space? And what would be your differentiation from those?

Hi David, i've also puzzled with finance education of people from post USSR area, cuz most of people doesn't know how to save money, how to use it etc. But i dont have enought finance backgound to describe it, so If you want to discuss it, feel free to text me :)

Hi David, Let me know if you are still looking for a partner. I’m absolute beginner in startup echo system but want to understand e2e process while involving myself instead of learning through readings. Coming to my experience, I have experience working on backend Development and happy to learn and contribute whatever I can. My main goal is to learn more beyond technology during this journey. Pls feel free to mail me if you feel I can be of any help. Thanks in advance.

      Hi @kktraneur. Thanks for reply.

One of the main goals of this project is to document each step I make.
Everything will be public from idea to launch to marketing and sales.
