College students... What's your plan this year? Advice for a student

Hello hacker family,

I pay a lot to go to university in the silicon valley area. I manage to pay for this by running my own startup consultancy & development services. (& of course taking massive debt...)

However this school year is officially online and I cannot justify the price for an only online experience. The true value of university for me is the in person experience, the people I meet, the experiences I have.

I am at a fork in the road. Do I take a gap year and go full time into the indiehackers lifestyle? I don't want a job... I think most of us are here because we want to escape that.

The virus gives me a good excuse to move somewhere cheaper and work on a SaaS. I have a couple ideas. Any suggestions on this?

Or perhaps transfer to a cheaper school and continue to work? Or tough it out because we will hopefully have a vaccine soon?

Cheers.

I don't know how actual the topic is, but: My plan this year as a student is to prioritize my mental and physical well-being by setting realistic goals and taking regular breaks. I will also focus on staying organized and managing my time effectively to balance my academic and personal responsibilities. My advice to other students would be to make a plan and stick to it, but also be flexible and open to change. Don't hesitate to seek help or support when needed, and take care of yourself. Remember that small, consistent steps are more productive than trying to do everything at once, and don't forget to celebrate small achievements.

If you are already confident in your knowledge and have plans to implement ideas, then just go to another college or school where you will need to pay less for tuition. After all, you will just need a diploma, which doesn't matter which educational institution, because you already have a high skill. For example, I studied for a year as an economist, and then I realized that I was tired of it; now I'm thinking of moving to the Czech Republic for a while and devoting myself to studying cinema. I was even able to find a school where I can study this -- https://www.praguefilminstitute.cz.

By and large, it seems to me that losing the school year is not entirely reasonable, and I am sure that online training will be built on a very good scheme, especially since you have the most promising projects. Many people receive education by correspondence and this even has its positive aspects, since, for example, you can always use the support of the writer's service https://typemyessays.com/

What kind of tangible skills do you have? If it was me, I'd take the year off and work or try starting things

I only have experience from own projects. I've built a couple things. All software related. Definitely have some skills in marketing too.

Listen dude, we're hiring, it's remote, apply to the job see what happens, no harm in applying,
