Thank you for doing this Ujjwal.

    Product:

    Wickedtemplates.Com

    Struggle:

We have users, even coming back butt it would be nice to scale up.

    Thank you!

Hey Michael, I have seen your product before & also following your journey on Twitter.

I can think of two ways to market this product.

      1. Newsletter Sponsorship (Underrated)
      2. Email to Bloggers that rank for your target keywords and set the drip campaign so that they can add your product to their list (mostly underrated but works great)
      3. Launch the full product again on product hunt with a free product as the lead product and upsell your product.
      1. 2

Ahhhhh that's why your name sounded familiar.

        Fair enough.

        1. I send a [www.unicornsfeed.com] (newsletter) with 1600 readers, Dev's and designers. And it helps but not a lot, I simply have in the footer. I am afraid of being too salesly.

        2. Didn't thought about this one..

        3. Are you indide my mind? I am launching on PH next week!

        Cheers mate!

        1. 1

That's amazing!! Congrats on the launch 🚀

Let me know if you need any help with the PH launch!

Hey Olli, This is an amazing product.

I was looking for these type of tools a few weeks back and didn't found your product though.

I got an amazing idea of how you can go with the market it is, do an AMA for reviewing the onboarding of different early-stage products and let them know what problem do they have and how they can optimize this.

And out of gratitude, they will use your product as well and later when they get the value they will convert to paid versions easily.

Man!! I would love to talk to you personally about how you can grow this product, here is my twitter username @ujjwal_sukheja

Looking forward to connect with you.

✅ A completely team oriented habit tracking social network
    ✅ Getting initial user base

    1. 1

I like the concept of what you're building and I have given the thought of how you can get the early user because this product has "chicken and egg" problem.

First I would recommend going through the strategies of building a community at the early stage because people will not only monitor each other's habit but they also want to talk to each other.

      Gaining users

      • Start to reach out to people in one niche and ask them to join your platform(Unscalable method but works in this stage)
      • Try to host any small event or any talk in that niche and give them a chance to connect with your community/team

I have many strategies but you need to fix the referral funnel and team invitation funnel so that people reach to "AHA" moment faster.

DM me on Twitter, you can schedule the call with me to discuss this.

    Project URL: www.bigindia.com
✅ One or two Line Description: B2B Marketplace for India

    1. 1

What I understood about the product that it is a global Indian competitor for IndiaMART

Step 1: Pick a single industry inside B2B(eg. FMCG Manufacturers) - This will help you to grow one by one because you cannot ask everyone and anyone to come in the early stage.

Step 2: Join different Facebook groups for the same niche and ask people to join your WhatsApp groups according to cities or according to products in FMCG

This will become the community approach in which you can ask them to signup on the platform anytime.

Now try this strategy and see if it's getting you users whether as a WhatsApp group member or signups and if it is scalable then scale it to multi-niches.

    1. 1

Just wanted to know did you used that AI-generated growth plans for Hacktika itself?

      1. 1

well good question, yes and no.

why no? because we absolutely have no budget, I mean literally zero. because we just migrated, started a new life, and started Hacktika and even the simplest growth plans need a minimum budget.

why yes? because we are doing so many free things from the growth plan and we have signed 2 contracts since yesterday and onboarded and vetted growth hackers.

so if you are asking if we are using Hacktika to grow Hacktika? my answer is yes, with our zero budget

    1. 1

I tried using your platform but I'm unable to create a new loop, maybe it's a Bug, or the button is broken.

A small suggestion, I saw you are asking users to pay on a monthly basis but the person who is finding the job most probably does not have that much money to subscribe to this service, what you can offer is after the user gets the job then they have to pay.

Because otherwise, you are asking for payment before providing value.

Hey Wouter, Did you tried all the organic channels before going through paid channels?

I think communities where developers from startups would love to try out your solution.

Launching on hackernews and reddit can help with organic acquisition in this situation.

      1. 1

        Thanks for your comment!

We definitely want to focus more on communities, and try to add value there. A while ago we published a post here on IH and also on Reddit. This already provided some feedback, but unfortunately no signups.

Subscriptions are steadily coming in through the paid channels, but users often remain within the free basic plan. The ROI of these campaigns are therefore not good. We do not yet reach the right target audience, which, as you already mention, is mainly startups, freelancers and small (web) agencies.

I find this target audience very difficult to reach. Do you have any tips to reach this group?

        1. 1

Did you validate this idea before building this?

Because paid channels won't give you the validation

DM me on Twitter, we can discuss more on this.

  12. 1

Thanks for this, Ujjwal, very kind of you.

    ✅ Description

We're building the Capterra for online business courses. Any course that promises to help you make money online… we're collecting, validating and displaying reviews from real students.

    ✅ Main Struggle

How to (a) find people who have taken those courses, and (b) incentivize them to leave an insightful review?

    1. 2

I didn't understand the business model here, you're giving 10$ who leaves the review, and from where you'll get that $10?

So it's difficult for me to give you any hacks for this.

here's the one strategy that you can try
      a) I saw FB communities where these people connect with each other, then automate this drip messaging campaign on the people that are group members.

      1. 2

        Thanks for the reply!

Business model is affiliate. We sign up as affiliates for all the courses. Whichever one ends up the highest rated, we make money by referring new students to them.

And yes, good idea about the FB communities. I don't understand what you mean by drip messaging though. Are you recommending we get people in the group signed up to an email list somehow? Or send them DMs on Facebook?

        1. 1

          Send them DM on facebook

          1. 1

Yeah, will try that. Seems 90% of those messages get lost in the "other" inbox on Facebook though.

To attract designers you need to become GUCCI of your industry, which means to market your designs and make other designers feel that it is cool to be a part of this community.

      Actionable steps:

      1. Create designs that give dopamine hit to other designers and make it public to use. Check FINSWEET case study how they marketed themself as a great webflow agency by creating awesome stuff for free and later people started to recognize them.

      2. Create a podcast or youtube presence because designers always looking for some tips and inspirations.

A landing page is looking awesome!!

What are channels did you tried before?

I would think going with some niche based will be great in the starting, what I mean by this is pick one use case first and try to capture that audience first.

Later you can go for multiple use cases.

Let's take an example of "Build-in-public" Use case

You can gather a group of like-minded people and they can perform the daily task for 30 days and update their work everyday on your platform.

      1. 1

Thanks for that feedback Ujjwal. I think you’re right. Right now I’m going way to broad. I need to niche down and focus on a specific group. Appreciate your thoughts! 🙏

Hello Ian, Why is so much written content on the landing page?

When I was going through the landing page, I feel it's very bulky with all the write content which is not easy to read at all

For this kind of product, I can suggest going with sales-led growth.

Approach your Target Audience through Linkedin Sales Navigator and book a demo with them.

Also, did you posted your product on hackernews yet?

I would suggest going with a subreddit with small businesses as a niche to share this product.

because I feel it is something that is very niche and normal users in this industry will not buy this

      Hey Erika,

I'm not into the technical products most likely but the landing page is looking awesome and clean and kind of hooked me till the end.

I would choose two marketing channels for this:

      • Subreddit (it works for these type products)
      • FB Communities (3d printing)
      • Signup for Capterra and other review platforms for reviews once you're live with the product.
