Community Collaboration on Static Sites

I am curious to know if community collaboration is something you wish you could unlock. For example, allowing your audience to provide updates to blog posts and create new content, that then flows through an approval process the content creator controls. This would be focused on static sites generated through the likes of Hugo, Gatsby, Jekyll, etc. I'm interested in hearing feedback from bloggers using static sites.
