Hey guys,
You might have read an article from our blog already but let me go back and explain who we are and how we got together.
We are 3 Indie Hackers, everybody with a unique story.
@ctw sold a dev agency and went all-in to building SaaS projects.
@tmvst left a job and moved to SE Asia to persuade his dream and launch his very own product.
@semy is building a career in a big corporation while working on side-projects all the time.
The vision we share is everybody should do what they love as best as they can. We would like to be surrounded by same-minded people, work together on projects, and help each other.
We started small as 3 friends. Now, we’re considering opening our private community to others.
We would like to validate our idea of "premium community with a twist". We set a goal to have at least 50 members interested before launch.
Here is what we offer:
Pricing:
We plan to start at $9.99/month.
The "twist"
You don't need to pay anything if you actively contribute to the community. What exactly do I mean by that?
You write an article each month. With new, high-quality content we believe we are able to attract new visitors, get more subscribers, and promote projects of our community members.
What do you think about the idea? Are you interested?
If there's still a chance, I would love to be a part of it. I can share my experiences of over the past 7 years with the community as well.

I am interested.
I like this idea a lot and will sign up with the "twist". I am wanting mastermind group level discussions and the kind of support that comes from knowing and understanding each others projects so that we can support each other on a deep level... I think this would require at least weekly meetings with everyone taking a turn in sharing what's happening with their project. I have been to a lot of incubator/accelerator type meetings where the people being paid "promote" certain approaches or methods but nobody really connects or has any real idea what other people are doing except for short introductions/icebreakers. Perhaps a master meeting for everybody once a month with weekly subgroup meetings? Another problem I've seen is where the guest presenter is really basically just make a sales pitch to sell their services but not providing any specific help to the individual attendee unless they follow up with a paid meeting.
@evolve great feedback, thank you! I appreciate you mentioned the support coming from people who know your product. I believe it's a big advantage.
I understand your concerns about guest experts. It might happen that they won't go too deep and try to sell their services afterward. Maybe we can negotiate the price of these paid services in one big order for multiple projects?
Btw, are you working on any project at the moment? We considered making it mandatory to have an active project/idea if you want to join.
Yes, we're hoping to launch within the next few weeks -- Sorry I haven't been on here to follow up!
@8bit John, what's your opinion on this? :)
a fascinating take. have you had anyone signup?
Unfortunately. nobody :( Probably bad idea?
how long have you been thinking through this and looking for customers?
To be honest, we wanted to test if this post will hook at least somebody. Maybe we need to grow as humans? :-)
i think you should keep pressing... there's still a lot of work to do! and learn. yikes!
testing is fine. now, test again!
