Crowdshipping #3: prototyping

Hi, hackers!👋 The story of my Crowdshipping startup continues.

I recently finished the initial validation of my business idea (the first one I decided to lead to realization), and now, following my plan, I have to try to manually execute my main business process.

Parcel pipeline

My business process is simple:

  1. Somebody who needs to deliver (I call him Requester) meets Traveler
  2. Sender (Requester's buddy) brings the Parcel to Forwarder (it could be contract employee)
  3. Forwarder checks the Parcel on forbidden stuff and certain transportation requirements, then seal it up
  4. Traveler takes the Parcel and does delivery to Receiver

The plan

At first, I will be a Forwarder for my first deliveries, so my initial plan looks like this:

  1. I will choose a direction (e.g. Moscow - Thailand) that is open for regular flights
  2. I will find some community (probably in FB) of potential customers
  3. I will pitch my idea across the community and look for who will actually need to have a delivery
    • I will iteratively improve my pitch and audience when something will go wrong
  4. If got some luck - will do a delivery following my workflow, learn and change it when got problems

I know my plan is not perfect and maybe kind of naive, but I at least will try to do something useful.
I will appreciate it if you had some advice or questions! 🚀
