Designed, built, and launched a product in 7 days!

As the title says, I designed, built, and launched a product in 7 days! It's a Chrome extension that automatically deletes sites in your browser history and downloads based on custom keywords.

Here it is on ProductHunt if you want to check it out: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/autodelete-history-by-keywords-extension

This was really cool to make! Making good products is usually a pretty detail-heavy and time-consuming process so I was looking to do a smaller project that I could do in a week and finish. I saw a post on a Reddit forum where someone was asking for this extension so I just decided to make it, launch it, and see what people thought.

I already had experience making browser extensions and I also built a service that makes it really easy to take payments in extensions without running your own server (ExtensionPay.com) so it was relatively easy to get all the pieces together in just a week. I'm curious if anyone will end up paying for it.

Actually, browser extensions are an interesting class of products. There's billions of users, the Chrome Web Store does a pretty good job of driving free organic search traffic, and now ExtensionPay makes it dead easy to take payments. I'll write another post someday about this.

Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments and please consider giving it an upvote on ProductHunt or a review in the Chrome Web Store — anything helps! 🙏
