[Discussion] Marketing/Advertising your channel

From what I've learned so far, that typically, depending on the great "youtube algorithm" to promote your content takes longer than most youtubers are willing to wait for.

So many of us try and promote content here on IH, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

What is everyone's strategy?

For me, I've made some posts per platform that are geared towards the audience. Like on Linkedin, I talked more about the reason why I made a channel, than promoting the channel. I wanted to talk about the drivers because people might be interested in reading that, and then I ended the post with a link to the channel.

What other ideas do people have?

I've made a newsletter that I send daily. 5x a week actually. Every edition links to a new video and/or a list of videos in theme.

this is exactly how i started. i just reached out, made relationships, and hoped / prayed that youtube's algorithm is working. longer content is useful too, for metadata and transcription.
