Django & custom variables

Hello !

First-time poster hoping to start a discussion here as I have found limited information on SO.

I am trying to plan on the best way to let users create custom fields using Django.

Quick context: My software lets people upload a list of contacts through a CSV importer, I have some predefined fields such a 'Firstname', 'lastname' but would like to allow users to create and edit their own custom fields for when they upload new CSVs.

Ideally, the solution does not hinder future abilities to filter/query.

Here is a related SO thread: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/53971797/how-to-allow-a-django-end-user-to-create-their-own-table-in-a-controlled-and-sec

How would you approach this? Any links or examples would be great!
