Do ads for your product (directed at users) attract creators as well?

I wonder if anyone has experience with ads which are targeted at attracting users, but also attract creators despite it (The ad) not being meant for them.

Not only can you, you probably should if having creator generated content is part of your business model. Your growth strategy should be focused on both acquiring creators and listeners for the type of service you’re creating. You probably wouldn’t want to use the same ad though. Your value proposition is going to be different for the two classes of users, and you’ll want to tailor your marketing and calls to action differently for each of them. It’s probably safe to say the funnels these users journey through would be different to after clicking on your ads, especially since what the conversion goal is will be different for each type. Listeners you’d probably want to optimize for playing x number of tracks, signing up, creating a playlist, following an artist, saving a track, etc. and for creators it would probably be something like setting up a profile, uploading their first track, etc. You’d figure out the right goal to optimize for through experimentation, but the point is the conversions are different so the funnels should be different as well.
