Do I need to register a trademark?

So, I started this new business of mine, and I came up with a great name. I bought the domain, and now I wonder if I need a trademark or not.

(It's even very unclear if this will work out or not)

I never felt the need for a trademark before, but with this business somehow I feel differently. What are your experiences with trademarks?

I saw I would need trademarks for several countries in the EU. Would I also need one in the US? Is it enough to trademark it in the country my business is located?

I am confused. Do you have some guidance?
Thanks!

Only if you actually need some protection, like others using your "trademark".

I think you don't have to. Name, brand and a kind of things only to help the service express a little. Product fast.

Sounds like a waste of time and money at this stage. This should be something you worry about way later. It would be unfortunate to invest so much effort into trademarking and the business not work out.

that's what I always thought. It's just that I entered this market, where all my clients seem to trademark their work. Which is a strange feeling, as I do not ;-)
