Do you see patterns in privacy movement from any other big tech?

Surprisingly the tech giant is moving towards a privacy-oriented design.

It won't stop tracking altogether (that would kill its business) but I guess we can expect alternative advertising technologies from them that don't invade an individual's privacy.

Have any of you also seen any privacy movements from other big techs (such as errr... fb)?
