👋 after 10+ years of building and shipping products, saas and apps I’ve realized that I’m quite good at building and shipping products, small and big.
Over the years I've put together a sort of boilerplate that I use for almost all of my projects which helps me build and deploy stuff fairly quickly.
I’m planning to put together a course that would help you to; step by step, build and then deploy an app on a marketplace such as Shopify, which you would be able to monetize using for example Shopify billing.
The course would also go through some of the things that are needed which necessarily isn’t coding, how to design your service and create a architecture description, how to deploy the app to a cloud service like google cloud, You would also get help with documentation such as a privacy policy (with explanations) that you can easily adapt for your specific needs.
A lot of the concepts and code introduced in the course can easily be used in any other project you would build in the future.
The ideal student
Would be someone that has had some exposure to programming (read a couple of blogs. Written a hello world etc) and the languages in the course will most likely be Python and JavaScript.
I won't teach you for loops etc, instead I will teach you the business value a set of code is creating and describe the reasoning for why the code is structured in a specific way. I will of course provide you with links to resources where you would be able to learn more about the programming language.
My question to you is
What's happening next?
I already started creating the course material and I'm looking to enroll a couple of students that would get hands on training from me using an early draft of the course material.
Have an awesome weekend fellow Indie Hackers!
