Docker Google Cloud Platform - Deployment Setup

Hi,

I am looking for some help with setting up Docker deployment onto Google Cloud Platform ("GCP"). I spent a some time learning via tutorials, etc. But the problem is it takes to much time of me to understand all the intricacies and architectural concepts for efficient deployment. So I am looking for someone who could provide assistance and possible set it all up for me and explain why it has to be done this way but I am not aware of how much such services would cost, and what exactly I should be looking for.

Does anyone know how much such services could cost?

We built out cloudlyn.com for this purpose. If you still need help with this, just let me know. I will help you setup and run it securely.

I am currently building in google cloud console. Set up a lot of static urls for public info site and such, along with a hosted secure domain, I signed up with bank info and received a credit for $250 or $300 i forgot, point is ..all depends what flows and builds plus type of project you deploy, depends on the cost.
on average I see anywhere between $150 to $225 a to run with a paid "they handle most of the jobs" cloud partner .
Only been maybe 3 months and I still have lil under$ 100 credit. That's why I now moved to Microsoft to tie in the end points of my website designs. Hope this helped and not confuse you more. ttyl

I would try Microsoft too it is just I want to figure out how to deploy the app securely and efficiently. As well as how to set up properly Letsencrypt containers as well as make sure that I follow best practices when setting up services, many tutorials out there, but they just give focus on the single problem rather than giving you info on how to work with different scenarios, they don't go deep enough into details.
I can setup the plain simple app in Nuxt + PostgreSQL + Redis and run it on the container by following tutorial that's not the problem. In my case its different type of application, and its extremely difficult to figure out how to properly wire up application state, to make sure its performance is adequate. I can run app engine which is just a basic Linux and then install all the docker containers in one machine but that would be same as renting a hosting on digital ocean or Linode and doing everything manually.
And the problem is that AWS has its own way of running containers, Google and Microsoft also have their ways. So you watch one tutorial but it is not applicable for provides.
I need to consult a professional, and learn things quicker. As often it is difficult to setup things initially but after its a piece of cake.

Is this for your job? It's highly unlikely you need any of this complexity for a new indiehacking project.

Unless your primary interest is devops, I'd keep it as simple as possible.

I have a project that I have built on my local machine. To be more precise I built it using nuxt.js frontend and Laravel backend. Some projects used to take a long time to deploy and often they would work fine on my local machine but not on the server, which would take a lot of time to fix. This time the app is more complex, as I introduce, Redis, Nuxt, Laravel. Even though its cheaper to deploy it on shared hosting I lose controls on featured the hosting, or sometime this services don't have what I need, and offer this subscription model that I am not interested in at all.
That's why I started learning docker which is more promising as I can deploy the whole up just by running docker-compose up -d and all services are there for me, as well as that I can setup testing of the app on travis-ci, and automate many of the tasks. It gives me much more freedom, even though requires more knowledge, and responsibility. But I luck the amount of time required to understand it all, and I need someone to help me to set this up.
I could use something like forge, and I am pretty sure this is great service, but I want to be able to set this up on my own.
Plus google cloud platform is giving you 300 USD for first projects that can be used to learn how the platform works, and by knowing how to setup your development environment will always give you a chance to migrate to something different.

If you're consciously trading progress on the business for learning, that makes sense. I make the same choice often!

because it is great to learn it gives you pleasure, its almost like drug. I do business for the ability to pay my bills, the rest I do for pure enjoyment.

I am not looking for a monthly service, just need someone to explain me some concepts and help me to set up something that I have already started.

Thanks I am aready checking gitlab, in my case nginx, crond, api php-fpm laravel, front:nuxt. js node, redis. I also need to configure lets encrypt. Is your app online? How much traffic foes it have for 25 dollars, I am aready hosting about ten sites that I built on cpanel + hosting for 30usd, 60 total with license, and I am considering to move onto Azure, GCP, or AWS but at the moment I need to consider the money flow as i am in the beginning of my journey and have lots of over expenses that can bite my ass when i dont expect them, I am also considering to build backend in go in the near future something like twill on laravel, so I just need to learn tools that can be used universally not only in a dedicated way. And that is pretty much in of an assistant in guiding me threw it. And I would pay someone to help me set everything up.
