Landing Page Feedback February 22, 2020

Does my landing page make you think "good value"?

Adrian del Mar @ad31mar

Hello fellow makers 👋

I'm building a service to ease the pain of picking a brand/domain name for your startup or side project. The goal is to source and offer dotcoms that are short, memorable, easy to pronounce, and which don't cost an arm and a leg.

This is what my 2-week-sprint MVP looks like: https://damnshort.com

Would love to get some feedback on the landing page, copy and the overall UVP.

Does the early access make any sense at all? This would normally attract the resellers, but I plan on making sure to keep them out.

What do you guys think? Means a lot 🙏

It's really good, I really like the name as well. Awesome that you have all(?) of the domains listed right there on the landing, clearly shows the value of the product. The only thing I noticed is the 24h early access thing, it makes sense after you click the button but the text on the landing itself was confusing.

      Thanks for chiming in!

Yes, I will add pagination and some sort of a filter as domains add up.

Would you suggest renaming it? Does "Premium access" sound less confusing?

I would just change the subtext to something like you have on /early that explains what it is.

Ah, you meant the in-between insert. Very good point - fixed, thanks! 😊

Just curious, @ad31mar, what kind of customer is your early access membership targeted for?

    1. 1

I was thinking it could be helpful to someone who's actively searching for a domain/brand name, not just casually browsing for inspiration.

This is great Adrian, I'm impressed! Love the site and the idea.

Not really. I can use LeanDomainSearch and get a great short .com for $10

Not to be mean or anything, but is that why you're on a .co? 😊

      1. 1

Lol I don't understand the question - what would a .co have to do with your competitor here?

        1. 1

This was just a tongue-in-cheek reply about you not owning a .com yourself, despite claiming that you can get a great one for $10 (unless, of course, you actually prefer a .co over a .com) 😊
